OMEN

Ever came across subtle hints or instances that seem like the indications of time and nature trying to tell you- or worse, warn you? I did, quietly recently at that. When I was entangled in the cobweb of anxiety and the woodlice of dread were eating away the peace of mind, omens were fuelling my imagination and making it go off-track. It turns out that it was more of the so-called omens and less of the actual reason for my worry. When I recently faces up to a feared moment, I realised that nothing is ever greater than a small spark that we make into a 12-shot exploding in our skies; and that facing the minotaur is easier than constantly trying to run and hide from it. The boogey-man is not as scary as the stories describe it; after all a beast haunting for so many generations ought to be old by now (so says the little kid in the health drink commercial). So after being unreasonably ludicrous, I have concluded that it is simply daft to believe in a black cat crossing the road or in a...

DANGER MAGNET

I once read the following verse in a poem - "How many times must a white dove sail Before it can sleep in the sand" The verses were actually aimed at world peace, but somehow, they fit my situation as well. Call it sailing of seas or fighting of battles, being encircled by the winds of trouble is something I should have been, but ma not, used to. The lashing waters of danger seas beat my confidence up every time I seek for a ray of hope. Lately, the onset of the new year had brought a sort of positive feng-Sui effect to my life. All the pieces were falling to the correct places and I could see myself laying back on that Sunday net bed with arms behind my head - cushioning the weight of my life. Trust me, there is nothing better than the feeling of everything being right; but as they say - "Nothing is Permanent". My awesome relaxation seems to be walking towards a dead end. I got the intelligence report that a bomb has been released by destiny and it is approa...

TRUST

I can clearly recall this quote from 'Stuart Little' - "Every time you step out of that house, you face an adventure". Being not very evolved then to understand or extrapolate, I just went on with it. Looking back although, during those self times I enjoy in the vicinity of the cool breezes under the watch of the shiny bald man, I realise that the quote and a lot more to it is actually true. When you are little, having an even more little brain, climbing a tree or falling of the porch is a hell of an adventure; but today, the biggest challenge that I believe I can face is to find a suitable person to put my trust into. Don't get me wrong, I am not talking about finding some Mr. Perfect guy; it could even refer to making new friends, or perhaps trusting a stranger approaching you for heaven knows what reason. Suspicion is a permanent ailment- some may say so; some may even call it an evil; but the same people would agree ti the fact that friction is a necessary e...

Chain Reaction

Do you know how an avalanche works? A vibrating element called sound first hits a small and delicately balanced section of snow hanging by the edge; it moves and disrupts the balance allowing some snow and stones to fall off. These hit some of their own brothers and sisters, taking them along and everything just starts falling at an exponential rate. it's kind of like a chain reaction gone wrong. Now make a guess what my latest discovery could be! Yup! After going through an intense thesis on myself and being the lab rat for my life to experiment upon, I now know that life is nothing different form a nuclear reactor. Each and every action has its own, somehow unique result. Each result is the trigger for another action. I know this is commonly called as a butterfly effect but right now, my situation is like an uncontrolled chain reaction; somehow I am currently waiting for the reactor to either burst or come under the danger level- although I really reeaally would prefer the lat...
