UNADDRESSED QUESTIONS

There are times in your life, times when you are not in the best of your senses, times when your inferences are infected with the thoughts impregnated into your mind by constant talks of unbelievable treachery by those who were supposed to be your very own. After having read and seen of hideous acts of treason in the history books and movies, you somewhere believe it to be fictional and believe that you would never witness such gruesome acts of sedition. Alas! The beliefs can be overthrown, the right can actually be wronged, and there is nothing one can do in regard. For a simple bewilderment, The color green is actually a really beautiful portrayal of beauty and liveliness as given by mother nature, The fresh green leaves swaying in the soft rains, the lush green grass that soothes and invigorates you in the morning when you tread on its wet and tinkly leaves are all episodes that bring an upside down frown to your face. Unfortunately, the same color can bring the non-upside-do...

KEEP THAT COOL

Storming through the windy desserts, dodging the sand dunes that try to engulf me into the sandy darkness, fighting every second- the urge to give into the mirages that fiddle with whatever is left of my sanity, I constantly tread forward with mincing steps towards the wet sands of the beach. Confused? Don’t be. Although this was just a part of my dream, it applies so much more to our constant struggle to live. There isn’t one person, who doesn’t look up to the sun, with legs buried in sand - knee-deep and eyebrows showering the eyelids with salt water, making them heavier every passing moment. Some of us kneel down and let the scorching problems evaporate every drop of life in us; some on the other hand, gather themselves up with all possible strength and march towards their personal paradise. Believe me, I’m no different, sometimes I manage to reach the mountains and beaches, sometimes I do fail, but I have learned from all the desserts that heat outside is ineffective if you ar...

FIGHTING THY SELF

As turned off the engine of my bike upon finally arriving at my destination, after a short yet seemingly long ride, owing to the thoughts bashing my brain space, I couldn’t gather the courage to put my feet on the ground to get off. It was as if an anchor was holding me down to my position, forbidding me from making a single move, constantly telling me to “Think”. There was an ongoing scuffle in my head as I tried to reason myself into choosing one of the two roads that existed in front of me. It’s not exactly always a matter of life-and-death when you have to choose in your life, neither was this situation; yet, it was a matter of regret and gratification. I had no possible way of finding out the unknown, of finding out what might my life conclude into on choosing the other path. The torturous moment was gazing at me with a look colder than that of a shrewd cat, as if shouting to me: “I will strike you with all the force in just a couple of moments”. As I lay curled up in my ...

NO STRINGS ATTACHED

Have you ever attempted to climb a mountain, or even a tree? There is a lot of fear engulfing a mammoth portion of your teeny little courage when you take that deep breath in and set your first foot forward. That loss of courage is often followed a tail wagging, tongue flapping spur to climb a bit higher. There a lot of falls and a whole lot more hikes before you finally reach the top; but that’s just it. No one ever said what happens next; what Do you Do once you’ve reached the finish line? When a colossal part of your existence reaches its final destiny, you are left with a clean slate all over again. No matter how good or bad that “ERA” may have been, when something comes to end, it is bound to leave behind a void filled with memories soaked in a tear here and there. All that time while you were climbing that mountain or tree, you thought the hardest part was keeping together while lifting your foot forward; but it is the climax that tells you that leaving it all behind and lif...

MOVING ON

Why is it that we miss someone after letting go? Why is it so hard to let go in the first place? Many would have asked this and seldom would have attempted to answer the same! It’s not uncommon to listen to people telling you that “Change is Inevitable” or that “People meet to create memories and depart to preserve them”; the truth however persists in the same state-“UNCHANGED”. What you have lost, what has left a void in your heart and life is gone forever and no words can ever bring back those-“Seasons in the Sun”.  I am not going to give just another phrase or idiom that would ‘hypothetically’ help you get over it, because I know it won’t. I can however share your feelings and help you forget the void for a while or two. Eat, love, pray and laugh! This is all that you can so to actually move ahead. Moving ahead doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to forget your past; it simply refers to your ability to let happy tears trickle at the great moments rather than letting the sa...

Fighting The Blues

Last night, when a thunder struck the otherwise calm skies and the moon hid behind the blanket, saving self, I was delightfully gazing at the changing faces of the blue umbrella. The way the shiny old guy played hide-n-seek with his blanket was a treat to the eyes; I could spend hours there, to wait for the moon to appear back from beneath the moving clouds. Today, when I woke up with the same beautiful memory, I was unaware that something similar awaited me. As fascinating as the thunder was to watch, it was dreary when too close to listen. In a matter of few seconds, my decisions and principles changed and I could feel myself falling helplessly, probably the same way “Alice In Wonderland” would have felt when the poor thing fell in a tree hole. Have you ever been in situations where you had to accept a bitter truth about self? Have you ever been forced to realize that there is something you are not exactly good at? There’s a fair chance the answer to that question would be yes; it...
