DILEMA
Robert Frost once said:
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
He had a decision to make, one that could change his life forever, one that would make a DIFFERENCE. I too am in a similar dilemma today. It’s not that I haven’t faced dilemmas before of stood at the junction of a fork; it’s just that some decisions matter more than other. I stand at the verge of a decision that would have a hand in molding me and my mind. My pronouncement would be irrevocable just like an arrow that has left its bow. Such judgments can make or break you forever.
Both my paths stand in front of me, calling to me, pulling me towards them; but only one can be traversed. It is easier to pick between candies if you already know the flavors, but it’s a different thing altogether when you know of one and are attracted to the other. They say the grass is always greener on the other side but how to choose which should be made the other side?
Amidst this storm of questions and hurricane of feelings, when my boat lay alone in the ocean; I made the difficult choice. No, I didn’t pick a path; that would have been easier. I left it in my head and heart and let the winds direct my sails in whatever direction they may. Sometimes, it’s better if your destiny takes your decisions; not that I don’t believe in perseverance. I strongly believe that “Destiny is not a thing to be waited for, It is a thing to be achieved”; but once you have done all possible hard work, you can leave it on the ALMIGHTY to take the decision for you.
